The founders of the Caloosahatchee Cannabis Company, poured two years of trial, error and perseverance into crafting the country’s first federally approved hemp beer, now on tap at Seed & Bean Market in downtown Fort Myers, Downtown Venice, and Coming Soon to Cape Coral.

“This was a unique and challenging opportunity. No one had done it before, so no harm, no foul,” Peacock recalls, smiling at the triumph of innovation over the unknown.

They navigated a steep learning curve—working through state-level protocols before scaling up to secure federal approval—and even helped define a new beer category along the way.

When asked about the taste, customer Ella Barber didn’t hesitate: “I’m not like an IPA type of person… this one’s kind of more citrusy, a little smoother. I really dig it.”
